Terms of Service

These Terms govern use of HAP Maker, operated by Stephen C. Young (“HAP Maker,” “we,” or “us”). By creating an account, accepting the current Terms when presented, purchasing a membership, or continuing to use the service after accepting updated Terms, you agree to these Terms.

Educational tool—not diagnosis or medical advice

HAP Maker is an educational and informational program-building tool. It does not diagnose, prescribe treatment, establish a standard of care, replace qualified professional assessment or judgment, or guarantee that an activity is safe or appropriate for a particular person.

You must independently review and, when appropriate, edit every activity, illustration, instruction, precaution, dosage, and handout for accuracy, safety, suitability, and the intended person’s circumstances before use or distribution. Do not rely on a generated image or instruction alone.

No protected health information

Do not enter protected health information or identifying patient information into Create Activity, activity descriptions, support messages, or account fields. A name may be entered only in the transient print field; HAP Maker does not save that field.

Accounts and acceptable use

• Provide accurate account information and protect your password.
• Do not misuse the service, probe security controls, automate excessive requests, or use the service to create unlawful, unsafe, discriminatory, or misleading material.
• Do not represent generated illustrations as clinically reviewed by HAP Maker.
• You are responsible for use and misuse of HAP Maker and its materials under your account.

Memberships and automatic renewal

Paid membership begins at checkout and is billed by Stripe. Choosing a plan and completing checkout confirms your agreement to these Terms and authorizes recurring charges at the displayed monthly price plus applicable tax. Unless canceled before the billing period ends, membership automatically renews and Stripe charges the payment method on file.

You may cancel online at any time from Manage billing on the account page. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues through the paid period unless Stripe or HAP Maker states otherwise.

Create Activity credits

Each plan includes the monthly Create Activity allowance displayed at checkout; the HAP Maker library plan includes no custom illustration credits. Included credits renew on the subscriber’s monthly billing date and do not roll over. One credit is used when a custom illustration is successfully generated and delivered. Generating another delivered version uses another credit. Provider or API failures, genuine safety blocks, canceled requests, and technical failures that do not deliver an illustration use no credit.

Refunds

Membership charges are generally non-refundable after purchase, except where required by law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact [email protected] promptly. HAP Maker reviews accidental or exceptional charges case by case.

Illustrations and service content

HAP Maker may make approved generic activity illustrations available to all members. Do not submit material you lack permission to use. AI-generated material can be incomplete or incorrect; you must inspect anatomy, movement, equipment, assistance, wording, and safety before distributing a handout.

Availability and changes

The service may change, experience interruptions, or remove unsafe or unsuitable content. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms. Material changes may require a one-time acknowledgement of the updated Terms; HAP Maker records the accepted version and acceptance time. You may delete your account from the account page; active subscriptions are canceled immediately during deletion.

Disclaimers and limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HAP Maker is provided “as is” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, clinical accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. HAP Maker is not liable for clinical decisions, patient outcomes, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. HAP Maker is not responsible for harm caused by unauthorized, unsafe, unlawful, or clinically inappropriate use of the service or by distributing content without the review required by these Terms.
